A 'What if' playdate!
The only "rule"...have fun!
Here is the Invitation: Set aside an hour...grab some mediums you've been reluctant to use because you didn't know "how to" use them and simply play! Experiment. Watch some YouTube videos and allow yourself to make a mess.
In this example I used a base layer of acrylic paint and overlaid it with India Ink, Alcohol Inks, Distress Crayons, Oil Crayons, and InkTense Pencils. I then sealed it with a top layer of Cold Wax.
Whether it be a contemplative practice, listening to uplifting music, 5 Minutes of Daily Silence, stream of conscious writing for 5 minutes or simply splattering paint onto your journal page..choose a daily practice and commit to it for at least a month before giving up / trying something different. Notice what comes us for you? Excuses made? How has it affected the rest of your day?
Go to the Art section of a neighborhood store and browse the aisles. Taking the time to view all your options. What resonates you? What mediums and colors pique your interest?
Pick up your crayons and draw a red squiggle...or whatever comes out of you! Simply applying action...you initiate movement to the creative process. ~Just Do It! SUNBEAMS playlist

“Knowing is not enough, you must apply; willing is not enough, you must do.” — Bruce Lee
Simply making a copy of Father Thomas Keating's prayer... read daily (preferably at the start of your day) is one basic practice.
Practice WELCOMING whatever comes your way & weave it into your day...trusting in the creative process.
Get an idea of what a daily journaling practice is like for you...I encourage you to try it on for at least month.
