Ageing Gracefully

An Invitation to Practice Grace as We Go Through the Aging Process

Unlike the Breaking Free journaling series (graffiti journaling), this journaling series is far more contemplative and inward focused. Using multiple articles and book excerpts, group discussions, reflective prompts and guest presenters…everyone will be experiencing their own personal journey deeper into the aging self.

Maybe, just maybe…this is an invitation to lose the burden of being someone you once were, and step into and show up “As Is”...as the person you are in this very moment.

Poems Prayers & Paints   Thursday morning May 14th                                      

Poems & Prayers by Matthew McConaughey and HELP THANKS WOW by Anne Lamott; along with other sources of inspiration, serve as the backdrop for this 2 hour activity. 

Come join us, bringing an important line of scripture, song lyrics, poem, and / or prayer. Be ready to share with the group and engage in discussion before everyone is led to a place of stillness and allowing colors and paint create your initial prayer canvas.

Welcoming In Our Creative Spirit!

For the avid journaler or are simply curious and looking for a creative outlet…

The intention of this workshop is to foster inspiration and offer support to each participant. The aim is offer a variety of journaling styles and art mediums…assisting each person to find the style  best suited to them.

The foundation of this workshop begins with outlining your own life to create your “bio map”. From there, writing prompts are offered to try on different styles such as stream of consciousness writing, bullet point entries and tangled words format.

There will also be communal activities that involve entry level “art”work. The purpose is to introduce you to a sample of art supplies; discovering what may work best for you.

You will leave with your own journal and entries made during our time together. 

Rae Veloon is a Creativity Liaison who encourages and supports those who are seeking creative expression. She is a strong believer in the Creative Process and emphasizes creativity has no right or wrong ways! She facilitates a monthly art journaling group in Grafton, WI.
