What is it?

crayonOS (sometimes referred to as cOS) is a custom Ubuntu Budgie distro operating system like Windows or macOS. However, crayonOS utilizes the powerful Linux kernel and is optimized for all user interfaces. The system is controlled by the community, making sure that everyone is able to get the chance to have a piece in what they desire in their own copies of the operating system.

How does it work?

crayonOS works like a regular operating systems -- opens files and programs, creates data, and can run software. crayonOS is an Ubuntu distro (a customized version of a Linux operating system), which supports native Debian and Ubuntu files as well as several Windows applications thanks to the open-source program Wine!
