Entries open at 9am on Friday 12 December 2025, and will stay open until midnight of the Thursday before each leg. You can enter all three legs as soon as entries are open (we prefer that you do this).
Use the form here if you want to enter a single crew or a small number of crews.
If you are submitting a large number of entries and would prefer to complete them using a Google Sheet template, please contact us at winterleague@crarowing.co.uk to request a template Google Sheet file. If you used this method last year, you can continue using the same link; just let us know if you plan to do this and we can resend your file link if needed. Let us know when your template file is complete, and we will add your entries to the draw. You may also request to make race entry payments for your club after leg three, as one single bulk payment, to simplify the administration of entries and any potential refunds.
We will publish a provisional draw at 9am on the Tuesday before each leg. See here for the list of current entries (link live after entries open). We will finalise the draw on the Friday evening before each leg.
If you do not enter the race for Leg 1, you can still enter using the same entry forms for legs 2 and 3 (the entry window for those legs will open immediately after the previous leg, and will close on the Wednesday before each leg).
Entries are invited for all fine boat and fixed seat boats.

Club B - Below Club A level and above Novice level (see below).
Novice - A maximum of two members of the crew who have won a BR, CRA or CUCBC event.
Beginner - All members of the crew learnt to row in the previous calendar year.

Visiting clubs. Crews who do not have boating facilities on the Cam should contact us (or a host club) to agree boating arrangements.
Race categories. Crews can enter a higher category than that for which they are qualified. The Leg 1 race status of a crew will apply for all three legs unless a change upwards is required due to any relevant crew substitution. We might split a category if there are many entries. We might combine two categories to create racing competition if there are too few entries in a category.
Prizes. Before racing starts for Leg 1 we will indicate which racing categories are eligible for pots. These will be those categories with three or more competing crews for all legs, and for other categories at our discretion. The winners of those categories, provided the crew has completed all the raced legs, will be awarded engraved pots at the end of all three legs. Where a crew has used substitutes, an eight can initially take up to an additional two pots and all other crews up to an additional one pot. If we have spare pots at the end of the allocation, crews can request additional pots.
Championship categories. The fastest Open 8+ crew is awarded the Harry Knight Cup and the fastest Women's 8+ crew is awarded the Imber Mansfield Cup. The fastest single scullers for Open and Women's are awarded the Colquhoun Cup. Where a lower category crew beats the fastest championship crew, the faster crew is moved up to the championship category, with no doubling up of pots.
CUCBC clubs can enter any or all legs. However, university term dates might make it impractical to enter for legs 1 and 3. Therefore, we will award pots for CUCBC categories based on the Leg 2 (i.e., February) stand-alone time.
Oversubscription. In the unlikely event that the race is oversubscribed, we will use our discretion to prioritise larger boats and crews entering all three legs, and to disallow some 'doubling up' so that everyone gets the opportunity to race.
Refunds. Where there are a large number of refunds needed (for example, if a leg is cancelled due to bad weather), we will make the refund after Leg 3, and will refund the amount to your club treasurer (or another selected person at your club), and they can distribute to individual crews.
Withdrawals. Once the draw is finalised (on the Friday evening before each race) we will only give refunds at our discretion. Where a leg is cancelled (or cancelled for your race category) we would always give a refund.
