What is plastic?

Plastic is a type of material used to make things like packaging (manly toy packaging) and water bottles. Do you know what plastic is made by and out of? Well it’s made out of and made by; cheap materials (what it’s made out of); industrial chemicals (what it’s made out of) and it’s manmade. Do you know plastic is not biodegradable ?

How is plastic effecting wildlife ?

Heartbreakingly this crucial problem is even affecting wildlife ! Animals are dying because of this significant problem. In 2012 there was approximately 165 million bits of this manmade material in the water therefore this will alter the effect on the sea creatures. Scientists state 8 million tons of plastic in our oceans.

Do you know what the overall damage is?

To finalise this heart breaking exclamation, this effects our wildlife so they are becoming seriously ill. Scientists have noted that there could be more plastic than sea animals (that’s in 2050 31 years from now)! This life damaging material is made from elements such as: carbon dioxide hydrogen and chlorine. Can things still be harmful if its small? YES it can even little things like a pin can still be harmful (obviously us humans wouldn’t eat it its just for the animals out there). Do you know this tonic material has caused illnesses in the past ? Sadly, when plastic is created there is high chance that a person will become ill !

To conclude , plastic is probably harming all of the oceans. We all need to reduce the rate were making plastic at. Creatures like turtles are becoming extinct because of this problem. Do you seriously care about this problem?
