Gladstone Elementary School’s construction project is going to provide the eastern side of the city with not just a 21st century school, but also a neighborhood hub of activity and resources. The plans for the school include a full-sized gymnasium which will have its own entrance so that community groups can utilize the space, as well as a dedicated space for the Cranston Family Center (COZ) which serves as a community resource for all Cranston families. Gladstone School is slated to begin construction after Garden City School has been completed and this page will be updated as we continue to progress through the design process and prepare to begin. - Modernized classrooms designed to accommodate 21st-century teaching and learning
- Acoustical treatments, varied lighting, new furnishings and educational technology
- Whole class instruction spaces, small group, one-on-one, and collaborative spaces
- A state-of-the-art library and Global Learning Center
- A flexible dining space appropriately sized for the school’s population
- A dedicated gymnasium available to groups and organizations for community functions and league play
