Ms. Runjun Duarah

Position: Project Assistant

Address: Jhanji, Sivasagar

E-mail: rduarah18@gmail.com

Contact: 7086112391

Research Area:

Runjun Duarah has joined the Centre for Petroleum Research, Chemical Engineering Group on June 2023 as a Project Assistant in the project entitled “Membrane Based Process for Treatment of Waste Water from Assam and Araken Basin, Jorhat WorkCentre and Recycling of Water” and doing research under the guidance of Dr. Swapnali Hazarika. Her area of research includes the determination of oil and grease in different wastewater samples by partition gravimetric method. Wastewater containing high concentration of oil and grease are increasing in volume due to the expansion in the oil processing industries worldwide. This increased the percentage composition of oil and grease in wastewater stream, which in turn caused avert effects on the ecology. This invariably has identified oil and grease as emerging pollutants of concern in wastewater stream, and this has opened up research opportunities in the field of wastewater treatment.
