Coach Jake Alexander and his wife, Meaghan, are proud parents of one son. Now entering his third year at Cedar Park High School, Coach Alexander serves as the Head Cross Country Coach and Head Girls Track & Field Coach, where he has led tremendous growth in both participation and competitive success.
A lifelong runner, Coach Alexander competed in cross country and track from middle school through college at Sam Houston State University. After his collegiate running career, he pursued his passion for coaching by serving as the graduate assistant coach for the Bearkats, beginning a career dedicated to developing young athletes both on and off the course.
Coach Alexander believes in the principles of "Never Miss a Monday" and that "attitude and effort will take you far in life." His program challenges student-athletes to pursue excellence, embrace hard work, and support one another as they strive to become the best versions of themselves.
Under Coach Alexander's leadership, Cedar Park's Cross Country and Track & Field programs have flourished. Beyond the impressive athletic achievements, he has built a culture centered on family, accountability, and community—one that has earned the respect, trust, and commitment of his athletes. At Cedar Park, runners don't just compete—they become part of the Pack.
Coach Pool and his wife, Kimberly, are the proud parents of two daughters, Holland and Madison.
A graduate of Bowie High School, Coach Pool was a three-sport athlete, competing in soccer, basketball, and track. He continued his athletic career at Southwestern University, where he earned a degree in Business while playing four years of collegiate soccer.
Coach Pool brings extensive coaching experience to Cedar Park High School. He began his career at Pflugerville High School, coaching football, basketball, and soccer for three years. He then spent seven years at Stony Point High School as the Head Boys Soccer Coach and Assistant Football Coach before joining Cedar Park, where he has served as the Head Girls Soccer Coach and an Assistant Cross Country Coach for the past six years.
Under Coach Pool's leadership, the Cedar Park Lady Timberwolves captured the 2025 UIL State Championship, cementing one of the most successful seasons in program history. His outstanding leadership and commitment to student-athletes also earned him recognition as the 2025 TGCA Coach of the Year.
