Earth and the Fullness
Olivia Wilmot is a Jamaican nature lover, mother, wife, artist, and teacher. For Olivia, individual and social healing go hand in hand.
As a Jamaican singer-songwriter and leader of Earth and the Fullness, Olivia released the EP "YUYA" in 2022. Her latest single, "Gratitude," combines captivating music and visuals by Ishack Wilmot Photography to showcase the beauty of Bull Bay's beaches. In alignment with Gratitude, Olivia organized an online panel discussion, titled Living in Gratitude: Affirming Value for Our Beaches, Assuring Our Rights, comprising experts, entrepreneurs, and youth to affirm Jamaican citizens’ value for our beaches and educate the public about the critical nature of the current laws affecting beach access. She also hosted a Taino gratitude ceremony at Eight Miles Beach followed by a live performance on the beach. The ceremony was led by Kasike Nibonrix Kaiman, Jamaica’s first installed Kasike in over 400 years. The panel summary for the online discussion is now available and being distributed as an e-book.
With a formal background in early childhood education, psychology, anthropology, curriculum and instruction, and certification in Ancient Egyptian Yoga, Olivia continues to work closely with children, parents, and caregivers in a variety of ways. Most recently, in 2023, co-organizing and hosting the first two Jamnesia Family Festivals bringing intergenerational families together to create art and music out in nature.
Up next is her first full-length album to be released this year and advancing projects for children and parents.
