Exploring the application and replication of LDC (Least Developed Countries) Initiative for Effective Adaptation and Resilience (LIFE-AR) to address climate action in the Caribbean Region.
At the UN Secretary General’s Climate Action Summit in New York in September 2019, the Least Developed Country (LDC) Group launched their vision towards a climate-resilient future which is for all Least Developed Countries to be on climate-resilient development pathways by 2030 and deliver net-zero emissions by 2050 to ensure our societies and ecosystems thrive.
For this segment, organizations working on the Africa- LDC Projects will share their work and experiences from one of their initiatives that support the transition towards a climate resilient future LDC Initiative for Effective Adaptation and Resilience (LIFE-AR).
This session will feature a least developed country (LDC) project that calls on organizations working in climate and development to shift from one-size fits all with a focus on:
