Thursday 19th Oct: Capacity Building for Gender Equity and a Youth Environmental Advocacy action through the creation of youth mobile mural on SDGs 3 Food Security, Climate Action 13 and 15 Life on Land.
Friday 20th Oct: A short film production: “Coco Hill Food Forest - A model for the future” to acknowledge women working in climate action as well as their challenges and achievements and to acknowledge their work within both green and blue economy. Women in Action to plant 100 fruit trees at WIRRED with all collaborators and volunteers.

ACTIVITIES:
Saturday 21st Oct: The DUF will be engaged in a beach cleanup in the northern area of Dangriga Town . The group will request the collaboration of the town council and local residents in the area. Once the area is cleaned, the group will engage in planting of about 20 trees along the beach. The aim is to garner community support for climate action and environmental protection. The objective is to encourage individual sustained commitment to environment and climate action while also providing an ambient environment for socializing and encourage conscious living.

ACTIVITIES:
A week of activities from 16th -22nd October 2023 to celebrate World Food Day 2023 with the support of Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries. The activities will focus on WFD 2023’s theme “Water is Life”. The division with its partners will be conducting Riparian Restoration through reforestation of riverbanks, with approximately 100 students within the four Forest Ranges.

ACTIVITIES:
Between 16 to 22nd Oct: Continuation of ongoing activities of tree planting programmes amongst the indigenous youths of Guyana. In addition there will also be online forums on “ Sustainable Economies”, a Coastal Zone Activity. A pilot project will also be implemented in Georgetown, Guyana to create more awareness about the negative impact of climate change in Guyana and will include online presentations and discussions with tree planting activities. Throughout October 23 - 29, November 16-19 will be many activities
associated with our main organization Rupununi Music & Arts Festival such as capacity building in Recycling & Upcycling in support of our Arts & the Environment' programmes. Desired outcome is for more young people to be aware, and to act, to reduce the negative impacts of climate change and to contribute to Guyanas' LCDS (Low Carbon Development Strategy). Indicators of success will include increase in number of young people participating in the CPAW in Guyana; # of Follow-up programmes following CPAW and expansion of the Rupununi Music & Arts Festival (RMAF) 'Arts & the Environment" programme.
