Ms Dubrie is the Sustainable Development and Disaster Unit Coordinator at the UN-ECLAC Subregional Headquarters for the Caribbean.
Artie's UN career began in 2003 with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and with assignments to Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia/Pacific. At UNEP, she had responsibilities for supporting developing countries in meeting and sustaining compliance with the Montreal Protocol on the phase-out of harmful ozone-depleting substances. Artie delivered these responsibilities through the active engagement of women, youth, and the formal and informal technology servicing sectors.
At ECLAC, Artie coordinates a team of professionals responsible for supporting the Sustainable development priorities of the Caribbean Small Island Developing States in the areas of environment, climate change and disaster risk management.
Artie has a Degree in Natural Sciences from the University of the West Indies- St. Augustine, a Master's Degree in Natural Resources Management (Universidad Nacional Pedro Henrique Ureña, (Repũblica Dominicana) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws with Merit in the Specialization of Environment and Natural Resources Law (University of London). Before joining the UN system, Artie worked in Trinidad and Tobago's private and public sectors.
