Main attributions:

• Propose and supervise the execution of strategies for the construction of institutional databases for research.

• Define and supervise the application of criteria to approve applications for: extraction of data from electronic medical records; and access to already consolidated institutional databases.

• Map, monitor, and support the efforts of research groups to produce papers and dissertations using data from the institutional databases.

• Propose strategies to foster priority cross-sectional and longitudinal publications using the databases.

• Propose and monitor criteria for authorship of publications using the institutional databases.

• Propose the components and schedule for releasing data to open repositories.
