The Coverdale Tennis Club is proud to offer a strong and growing player development program led by two Tennis Canada Certified Instructors and supported by qualified assistants.
Whether you are picking up a racquet for the first time or returning to the game, introductory lessons are available for individuals, families, and small groups for a fee. Throughout the season, active CTC members may also have access to complimentary group instructional clinics.
Our Family Tennis Program welcomes parents, guardians, and children aged 10 and older. Children may participate with or without a participating adult.
The program combines formal instruction with fun, recreational play in a supportive and inclusive environment. A modest fee applies for non-member families.
For more information or to register, please email Pam McMillan.
Please refer to the Club Calendar for the weekly clinic schedule.
Member clinics are high-energy, fast-paced sessions focused on repetition and ball striking. While instructors may provide occasional tips and reminders, these sessions are not intended to replace formal instruction.
Please note: Proper technique is essential for both performance and injury prevention. Clinics are a complimentary benefit available exclusively to active club members.
Formal instruction is available to both members and non-members through referral to one of our Tennis Canada Certified Instructors. Lessons are scheduled outside of regular club play hours and are offered for a fee. Weekend instruction is generally unavailable.
Instruction is available for individuals and small groups of up to three participants. Our five-session introductory package is typically completed within four weeks. As with any skill development program, practice between lessons greatly enhances learning and progress.
The Club is pleased to provide a limited number of racquets at no charge for both youth and adults receiving instruction. Students also benefit from access to a full range of teaching equipment, including balls, hoppers, pickers, racquets, and other instructional aids.
Coverdale Tennis Club is fortunate to have two actively certified Tennis Canada Instructors, Cheryl Kydd and Shaun O'Reilly, leading our instructional programs. Their commitment to quality coaching and lifelong participation helps players of all ages and abilities discover and enjoy this positive, healthy, and rewarding sport.
