He later played in the Flying Tortellinis with keyboard player from King - Mick Roberts and The Supernaturals with Hazel O'Connor, Paul Weller's Style Council and Box of Blues with Neol Davies and Horace Panter. . Both had been in Walnut Conspiracy.

BLACK AND WHITE NOTES An early band or Noel McCalla (he was 15) in Coventry. Noel left and went back to London where he was born and joined Moon with Cov's Loz Netto - guitar (ex Nack ed en with John Bradbury 1970 later of Specials) and Ron Lawrence bass (Ex folk rock band April - 1970). They went on to join Sniff and the Tears 1979 and had a US hit with Drivers Seat. Noel went on to play with Partners in Crime, Manfred Mann's Earth Band in the 90's.Lox went solo and Ron sessioned with the Kinks and many more.

They made a single with producer Mike Berry - a Young Rascal's number called You Better Run and Carl Palmer's brother joined the band at one point.

THE BRETHREN c 1965 Beat group. Line up: Ian Elson (guitar), Simon Aston (bass), Howard Smith (Vocals), Paul Hughes (Drums) and Edward Tudor (Ted) Crum ( Vocals and mouth organ). Originally “The Exclusive Brethren”. Ian went on to join The Heart of England Folk Group in 1968, a popular folk group based in Leamington. Ted Crum joined Sneaks Noise.
