For this assignment we got to choose between two online PC stores, Newegg or PCPartPicker, to build a custom virtual PC. We had to pick 9 component of the PC and 3 accessories such as mouse, keyboard, and monitor. As we made our virtual PC, we had to document the components we chose and the prices.
While I was confused about the parts of a PC, I did learn about what parts are compatible with each other, the names, and pricing of PC parts. Some items such as the accessories I chose, I am familiar with or have used so I was able to pick those easily. Other parts I chose just depending what seem to be a good cost, good storage and reviews. My goal was build a gaming PC and have a budget of $1000. I used PCPartPicker to build my PC and enjoyed using it.
