Lesson Learned
I learned there are various ways to experience and see cybersecurity. I also learned many new terms while reading the articles and going through the module.
Seattle Library Ransomware Attack
The Seattle Public Library experienced a ransomware attack over Memorial Day weekend in 2024, disrupting services and exposing the personal data of nearly 27,000 people. The attack affected online catalogs, public computers, and loan systems. To prevent such incidents, organizations should use multi-factor authentication, maintain secure backups, and monitor for cyber threats.
