Pulled Thread Sampler Supply List

• #12 perle cotton to match your linen 

• Wildflowers by Caron Variegated OR #8 perle cotton, color of your choice

• DMC Floss in the color of your choice (coordinate with wildflowers)

• 28 count linen to use as a doodle cloth (optional)

Biscornu

• 28 ct linen - enough to make 15 3” x 3” squares. For example: One piece that is 15” x 9”, three pieces that are 3” x 15”, five pieces 3” x 9”

  • Note: a smaller count may be used, but assembling the biscornu will be tedious. 

• Button or bead to pull the biscornu in the center

Sampler

• 4 x4 sampler

  •  28 ct linen 16” x 16”

  • 32 ct linen 9” x 9”

Color Key for border on sampler option:

First select your variegated fiber and your linen color. Your solid thread and bead colors for the border should then be pulled from and compliment your variegated thread. The variegated fiber and DMC Perle Cotton #12 will be placed within the squares, they are not used in this border pattern.  

The border between the squares is a vine with leaves and flowers. You will need:

• Dark Green for leaves/vines

• Color for flowers

• Darker shade of flower color (flower backstitch)

• 3mm Swarovski Bicone beads in a light color from you flower family (if you have purple flowers, then maybe a lavender or light blue)

• Size 11 Delica Beads a bit darker than the Bicone beads

• Size 11 Delica Beads a dark color that complements the flowers.

Example:

• DMC 501 dark blue green (leaves/vines)

• DMC 154 dark grape (flowers)

• DMC 327 dark violet (flower backstitch)

• 3mm Swarovski Bicone Light Azore AB

• Size 11 Delica Bead - 0078 Aqua Mist Lined Crystal Luster

• Size 11 Delica Bead - 0117 Violet Gold Luster
