The Celebration of Excellence in Research and Creative Activity (CERCA) is a week-long conference hosted by UW- Eau Claire to showcase and celebrate student research and creative projects.

"3 Poems" April 29th, 3-5 pm
None of the Above's (NOTA's) student writing showcase. Cory will actually read two poems: "All We've Got Now" (After Brokeback Mountain, 2005), an ekphrastic bop form, and "Ivy", a crown of sonnets.
"Queer and Now: Reflecting on the 2025 Q-Fest Immersion" April 30th, 11:15 am.
Over the summer, 11 students travelled to San Francisco, California, as a part of the Q-Fest Immersion Program, one of the two flagship programs of the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center at UWEC. We visited Frameline, the world's oldest and largest queer film festival. After viewing films, we brought 32 back to Eau Claire to create Q-Fest, UW-Eau Claire's student-run film festival. Across the six months making up pre-trip, immersion, and post-trip work, students broke into research groups to explore issues affecting both San Francisco and Eau Claire. They were tasked with documenting the immersion through blog posts and short videos to share with the Eau Claire community. In this presentation, student programmers Cory Quinn and Audra Dyer will reflect on their experiences in San Francisco, as well as their time developing Q-Fest.
