Cory Quinn (pronouns he/him/his) is a writer from Carver, Minnesota, currently based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He is a third-year student at the University of Wisconsin: Eau Claire, studying developmental psychology with certificates in creative writing and LGBTQ+ studies.
Cory values writing as a vital part of his life and expression. His poetry centers around themes of bodies, relationships, and love, and uses different poetic forms to tell stories of queerness and transness. When not pursuing art and writing, you can find Cory watching and reviewing movies on Letterboxd (his favorite social media), trying new recipes to cook for his friends, and shopping at antique stores for broken watches and neckties.
Cory's overarching goal is to stay immersed and involved with community-- whether that be the LGBTQIA+ community, the world of artists, or the Midwest region as a whole. Lately, his projects have included student programming and intern work for the UWEC Gender and Sexuality Resource Center (GSRC), and participating in the QFest domestic immersion program and on-campus queer film festival. He also has been working as the poetry editor for None of the Above (NOTA), the on-campus art and literary publication, which he adores.
