This project involved designing a compact, manufacturable enclosure for the JDS Labs Objective2 headphone amplifier. The enclosure had to meet specific engineering constraints while maintaining a refined, user-focused aesthetic inspired by high-end electronics like the Analogue 3D.
Create a functional, minimal form that reflects professional consumer electronics design
Comply with extrusion constraints: 8" die limit, 0.08" minimum wall thickness, appropriate corner radii
Accurately integrate all ports and control interfaces, including power, audio jacks, gain/volume controls, LED, and pushbuttons
Design for manufacturability across three different processes (extrusion, CNC, injection molding)
Add subtle on-product graphics for clarity and branding without compromising aesthetics
Design Note : Inspired by the clean, high-end aesthetic of the Analogue 3D. Focusing on minimal form, functional clarity, and manufacturable details.
