Corevia Labs (“Corevia Labs,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the PDF Document Scanner: Offline mobile application (the “App”).
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App, including how your documents, technical information, analytics data, crash diagnostics and advertising-related information are processed.
The App is designed as an offline-first document scanner. Your scanned documents and generated PDF files are processed and stored locally on your device. Corevia Labs does not intentionally upload the contents of your scanned documents to its own servers.
The App uses certain third-party services, including Google ML Kit, Firebase and AdMob. These services may process technical, diagnostic, usage or advertising-related information as described below.
1. Documents and Files
1.1 Local Document Processing
PDF Document Scanner: Offline processes documents and images locally on your device.
Depending on the features you use, this may include:
Capturing and enhancing scanned documents.
Importing images selected by you.
Creating and saving PDF documents.
Viewing and organizing locally stored documents.
Adding, deleting, rotating and reordering PDF pages.
Merging, editing and compressing PDF documents.
Applying document watermarks.
Generating document thumbnails and previews.
Exporting and sharing PDF files.
Document processing does not require a Corevia Labs account or cloud document-storage service.
1.2 No Document Upload to Corevia Labs
Corevia Labs does not intentionally collect, upload or store your scanned document contents on its own servers.
The App's custom analytics and crash-reporting implementation does not intentionally transmit:
PDF document contents.
Scanned document images.
OCR text.
Document filenames or titles.
Local filesystem paths.
Document URIs.
Folder names or paths.
User-entered document content.
Your documents remain under your control on your device.
1.3 Local Document Storage
Documents and PDF files created or imported using the App may be stored locally on your device so that you can view, edit, organize, export or share them.
Corevia Labs does not maintain a cloud backup of documents created using the App.
If you delete a document through the App, the App removes the corresponding locally managed document according to its implemented deletion behavior.
Documents you have separately exported, copied, backed up or shared may continue to exist outside the App.
1.4 Temporary Files and Editing Sessions
To provide document scanning, editing, preview generation and PDF compression, the App may create temporary files in its private application storage.
These may include:
Temporary scanned images.
PDF editing-session files.
Generated document thumbnails.
Intermediate PDF files.
Temporary files used during PDF export or compression.
Temporary files are used to support document processing and reduce memory consumption.
The App implements cleanup procedures to remove temporary processing files when they are no longer needed. It also performs cleanup of stale temporary files and abandoned editing sessions.
Temporary files may remain on your device for a limited period after an interrupted operation or unexpected application termination.
These files are not intentionally uploaded to Corevia Labs servers.
1.5 Document Sharing
When you choose to export or share a document, the App may transfer the selected file to another application, storage location or service according to your instructions.
For example, you may choose to share a PDF through an email application, messaging service or cloud-storage provider.
Once you share a document with another application or service, its handling of that document is governed by its own privacy practices.
Corevia Labs does not control how third-party applications or services process documents you choose to share.
2. Information Collected Through Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services for analytics, crash diagnostics, advertising and document-scanning functionality.
Depending on the service, these providers may process:
Device information.
Operating-system information.
App version and configuration.
App usage and interaction information.
Crash and diagnostic information.
Technical performance information.
Advertising-related information.
Approximate geographic information.
Service-generated identifiers and other technical identifiers.
The information processed by each service may vary depending on your device, operating system, settings, region, consent choices and the functionality being used.
Corevia Labs does not intentionally use these services to collect the contents of your scanned documents.
3. Google Firebase Analytics
The App uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the App and to help improve functionality, usability, stability and performance.
Firebase Analytics may automatically process certain information about App usage, your device and the App environment.
The App also sends limited predefined events relating to App usage, which may include:
App launches.
Scan initiation.
Successful scan completion.
PDF saving.
PDF sharing.
Settings access.
Document-editing operations.
Certain technical operation failures.
Advertising-related events.
These events help us understand how App features are used and identify areas for improvement.
3.1 Page-Count Information
Where page-count information is used for analytics, the App sends broad ranges rather than an exact number of pages.
These ranges may include:
1 page.
2–5 pages.
6–10 pages.
11 or more pages.
This information is used to understand general feature usage and is not intended to identify the contents of your documents.
3.2 Information Not Intentionally Sent to Firebase Analytics
The App's custom analytics implementation does not intentionally send:
Document contents.
Scanned images.
OCR text.
Document filenames or titles.
Filesystem paths.
Document URIs.
Folder names.
Arbitrary user-entered text.
Custom user IDs.
Firebase may independently collect certain technical and usage information according to its applicable privacy practices.
4. Google Firebase Crashlytics
The App uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to identify, diagnose and resolve application crashes and technical problems.
Crashlytics may process technical diagnostic information associated with crashes and application failures, including:
Crash stack traces.
App version.
Operating-system information.
Device information.
Application state.
Crash session information.
Technical diagnostic information.
Service-generated identifiers.
For handled non-fatal errors reported by the App, the App uses sanitized technical error information rather than intentionally transmitting the original exception message.
This is intended to reduce the possibility of local filenames or filesystem paths appearing in custom non-fatal crash reports.
Crashlytics is used for application stability and technical diagnostics. Corevia Labs does not intentionally use Crashlytics to upload or store scanned documents.
Automatically generated diagnostic information may be processed by Firebase according to its own privacy practices.
5. Google AdMob
The App may display advertisements provided through Google AdMob.
AdMob and associated advertising technologies may process information such as:
Device information.
Advertising-related identifiers.
IP address.
Approximate location.
Advertising interaction information.
App and advertisement interaction information.
Information used for advertising measurement and personalization.
Advertising behavior may depend on your device settings, region, applicable consent requirements and advertising or privacy choices.
Corevia Labs does not intentionally send scanned document contents, OCR text, filenames, filesystem paths or document URIs to AdMob.
You may be able to manage advertising personalization and related preferences through your device settings, Google account settings or applicable consent controls.
6. Google ML Kit Document Scanner
The App uses Google ML Kit Document Scanner, provided through Google Play services, to capture, crop, enhance and process document images.
Document scanning is designed to take place on your device. Corevia Labs does not upload or store your scanned document contents on its own servers.
6.1 First-Time Setup and Offline Operation
Google Play services may need to download or update document-scanning components when you first use the scanner.
This process may require an internet connection.
Once the necessary components are available, document scanning and PDF processing are designed to work offline, subject to device compatibility and the availability of the required Google Play services components.
The App does not require a Corevia Labs cloud account to scan or process documents.
6.2 Technical Information
Google and Google Play services may process technical information associated with SDK operation, including device information, application information, performance information and diagnostic data, according to their applicable privacy practices.
Corevia Labs does not intentionally send document contents, scanned images, filenames or document text to Google through its custom analytics implementation.

7. PDF Editing, Compression and Watermarking
The App provides PDF editing, compression and watermarking functionality.
These operations are designed to take place locally on your device.
7.1 PDF Editing
When you edit a PDF, the App may temporarily store scanned images, existing PDF page references, thumbnails and intermediate PDF files in private application storage.
These files support operations such as adding, deleting, rotating and reordering document pages.
The App does not intentionally transmit your document contents to Corevia Labs servers during editing.
7.2 PDF Compression
When you use PDF compression, the App may process document pages and images to reduce the resulting file size.
Depending on the selected compression settings and the document's contents, compression may involve image resizing and re-encoding.
Compression is performed locally on your device.
7.3 Document Watermarking
The App may apply a Corevia Labs watermark to generated PDF documents according to its implemented functionality.
The App may store watermark-related metadata within PDF files to help prevent duplicate watermarks during subsequent editing and saving.
This metadata is associated with the document and is not intended to identify you.
8. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
PDF Document Scanner: Offline does not require account registration.
Corevia Labs does not intentionally collect through its own App systems:
Your name.
Your email address.
Your telephone number.
Passwords.
Account credentials.
Contacts.
Scanned document contents.
OCR text.
Document filenames or titles.
Document paths or URIs.
Folder names or paths.
Personal documents uploaded to Corevia Labs servers.
The App does not provide a Corevia Labs cloud account for storing your documents.
However, third-party services integrated into the App may independently process technical, advertising, analytics or diagnostic information as described in this Privacy Policy and their respective privacy documentation.
If you contact Corevia Labs directly, we may receive and process the contact information and other information you voluntarily provide in your message.
9. Permissions and File Access
The App uses Google ML Kit Document Scanner for document capture and supported Android system interfaces for selecting, saving and sharing files.
Depending on your Android version, device and the functionality you use, Android may present permission or file-access prompts.
9.1 Document Capture
The App uses Google ML Kit Document Scanner to provide document-capture functionality.
The scanner uses the device's camera through the Google-provided scanning interface.
9.2 Photos, Media and File Selection
When you choose to import images or documents, the App accesses files selected by you through supported Android interfaces.
The App does not intentionally access your photos, media or files for unrelated purposes.
9.3 Local Storage
The App uses local device storage to save documents and temporary processing files required for its functionality.
Android provides controls that allow you to grant, deny or manage applicable permissions.
Denying certain permissions or file-access requests may prevent the corresponding functionality from operating.
10. How Information Is Used
Information processed through the App and its third-party services may be used to:

12. Data Retention and Deletion
12.1 Documents
Documents and PDFs created using the App are stored locally on your device.
Corevia Labs does not maintain a cloud copy of these documents.
You can delete locally stored documents using the App's available document-management features.
Uninstalling the App generally removes its private application data, subject to Android's applicable backup and restoration behavior.
Documents exported or saved outside the App may need to be deleted separately.
12.2 Temporary Processing Files
Temporary files created during scanning, editing, preview generation and compression are retained only as needed to support those operations.
The App implements cleanup procedures for completed operations and stale temporary files.
Unexpected termination or interrupted operations may cause some temporary files to remain until a subsequent cleanup.
12.3 Analytics and Crash Data
Analytics and crash-related information may be retained and processed by the applicable third-party providers according to their respective retention policies and the App's configured settings.
Corevia Labs does not independently control every retention period established by Google for Firebase, AdMob or Google Play services.
12.4 Contact Information
If you contact us directly, we may retain your correspondence and the contact information you provide for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, maintain relevant records or meet applicable legal obligations.
13. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to minimize the information processed through the App's custom telemetry systems.
In particular:
Document processing is designed to take place locally on the device.
Scanned document contents are not intentionally uploaded to Corevia Labs servers.
Custom analytics events are limited to predefined application-usage information.
Exact page counts are not transmitted through the App's custom analytics events.
Custom non-fatal Crashlytics reports use sanitized technical information.
The App does not intentionally send document filenames, filesystem paths or document URIs through its custom telemetry.
Temporary editing files are maintained in local application storage and are subject to cleanup procedures.
However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Third-party services are also subject to their own security practices and policies.
You are responsible for exercising appropriate care when exporting or sharing documents containing sensitive information.
14. Children's Privacy
PDF Document Scanner: Offline is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through an account-registration system.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to Corevia Labs, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action where applicable.
15. Your Choices and Controls
Depending on your Android device, Google account, location and applicable laws, you may have controls over certain types of data processing.
You may be able to:
Deny or revoke applicable App permissions.
Manage advertising identifiers.
Control advertising personalization.
Manage Android privacy settings.
Manage Google privacy and advertising settings.
Delete locally stored documents.
Delete documents you have exported or shared, where you retain control over those copies.
Uninstall the App.

16. International Data Processing
Third-party service providers used by the App may process information on servers located in countries other than your country of residence.
Where applicable, such processing is governed by the relevant provider's privacy policies, contractual safeguards and applicable laws.
Your locally stored document contents are not intentionally transferred to Corevia Labs servers as part of the App's ordinary scanning, editing or compression functionality.

The third-party services used by the App operate independently from Corevia Labs and maintain their own privacy practices.
