When I posted this meaningful song  in my previous page- I said that it will be a great in flight sound  in international flights like my Seoul- New York flights.  The  longer the more that I can listen.  There are still a number of situations that the portrayal of this song,  are eagerly wanting, for those who are so much blended with the metropolis shadowed by the "heavy traffic  of life," especially those working or living  abroad or for those who want peace,  think widely and dream pleasantly...  commune with the elements is a wish or just a simple imagination that you are right there simulating correctly the natural atmosphere.  Here is this song again by a UPD Alumnus.

This is a song 12 years ago? but I think this is still applicable for a boy(s) who has/have a crush in a girl(s) whom he/they don't know personally only that they are both UPD students.  I can see what the reactions will be.  How receptive is the first talk? Here is the link to this song.

A serious stand- For all who will be dealing with the  root- word "Bio" in everyday life,  like a subject(s) in your degree,  your title or profession, your research, the laboratories [e.g. clinical or pathology labs.] you will be working or currently you are working in, your supporting references as part of your research or your paper presentations, your publication analyses and discussions, your pioneering methods, procedural analyses-  always have a very good theoretical and laboratory background of the basic molecular and cellular biology as well as  [molecular] biochemistry. And also try to update/upgrade your knowledge in these areas.  For any "bio" of you must be answered in  more specific detail by the aforementioned advanced biosciences. Otherwise, You'll end up vaguely/poorly (in knowledgeable reasoning), or you cannot do your lab. techniques correctly as well as support those techniques and results clearly when queried.  When I was doing research in a US University, an MD from a foreign country wanted to work in a pathology lab. Having no background in the advanced biosciences (as aforementioned), there was a need to enrol in an undergrad class in these subjects in a different univ.

In my previous page, I was just making hints and abbreviations and fill in the blanks.  I donot know if I did it with this. This was about my Calatagan ? , Batangas experience  with the MSI, UPD, people (when I was with UPD IB). Those were the times when we were young and I well remembered it was dark and we were walking in a strip of  a narrow road to the sea... parang board walk but wth residences. And I just know that PAMS was held in Batangas last July 2023  with shining activities!

Flashback 2- When I was working in a molecular lab. at a US University and there was this radio (the music is mostly jazz just like in the Phil.. palaging sawi ang sounds- they had it hit this FM station) near the microwave.  And this song was quite popular.

Realistic "Fantasy",  the "Disneyland" feeling, "Discoveries" of all sorts,  Dreams abound from the best foods to the best toys... Playhouses, Travels, Eagerness to have the best and Enjoy! But after childhood... Fantasies turn into responsible-realities, problems abound of all sorts  and playing "hide and seek" creates muscular frictions and joint pains... the past was different for the free enjoyments and in the present you have to sweat for it... The past was what type of world you wish for but what is left is a shadow... Today and the future may be  hard for the human flesh and spirit... the diseases, genetically or new... new world or modified for one to carry on.  Looking at the world, this time,  will be of a different view affecting you. 

Very much butchered word: Glycolysis. If you tell in front of me the prefixes aerobic and  anaerobic, I find it as an insult. First, there is nothing happening with the glycolytic pathway in these conditions unless there was a recent change of enzymatic  reactions, enzyme kinds and pyruvate was not it. Then how could it be?  These terms are affecting the product which is the pyruvate and the aforementioned terms need to be applied here and not in the glycolytic pathway. Whether the P would go to anaerobic respiration producing lactic in the presence (Warburg) or absence of oxygen (which is the basic) or both? as in matured Human RBC  or proceed to Acetyl Co A conversion in the presence of oxygen (OXPHOS).  The emphasis must be the glycolytic exit and not to squabble with the term.

Changes in the Taxonomic names [(SN) whether G or S] of fishes must have  accompanying publication whether it was in the year 1800 and was changed in that same circa or the change is recent or a few years back. This is to make clear to everyone why there was this change or if it is incertae sedis- then a publication will also support it. Change in Families,  Order, Class and why some long- ago- designations  were elevated or utilized (just to fill in the blanks?) to the Super etc. level  or the like must all be discussed and published in a scientific Scopus indexed or Web of Science Journal.  Probably a book encompassing all of these knowledge (of changes) will be a great treasure to uphold. But for every move a publication (shared if the change is at the higher rank) is needed. Having some short notes for a reason in a book is not scientific to  dwell upon.

Flashback 3- Taking the bus to Los Angeles Downtown, there was this Pinay, of quite old age, who reserved a seat for a friend so as to have this friend seated near her when it reached the appropriate bus stop and her friend would take this bus.  If one would like to take it, she had to inform the person that the seat was reserved.  It's funny, but I think there were only two things - love for a senior friend- companion, [I think they worked in museum downtown] or to feel safer.  I really do not know. But it makes me smile until now. There was no such thing as a standing passenger in a bus/bus route that I had  taken in Los Angeles.

Flashback 4- When I did work at a molecular pathology lab., It was not HIV, we were working upon but at that time HIV was becoming to reach its peak.  When I took my graduate class in Pathological Microbiology, my professor, an alumna for her PhD in a well known university in Los Angeles, was discussing about the prevalence of HIV and she interjected that she had her last sex, about 5 years ago. .. which might mean that it was safer during that time. As a conservative Filipino who pour plaudits to these types of professor, I was shocked to hear it but later, such similar things may happen and I take it  favorably. During that time, the atmosphere was this virus so I really do not  know how the research staff doing Covid 19 and others did it. It may be difficult to move from one place to the other. 

This is a song about one's fate in a jazzy rhythm. When one is old- mysteries do unfold probably for only a... but in some instance, even leave something somewhere, yet it was never revealed.  It is you that push your fate but sometimes fate was due to the other external potpourri or something of  great concern but without value... pain, calamities, disease.... gene's provoking towards an unproductive sense in old age.  Just enjoy the certainty of nice things like rain comes from the clouds... etc. Here is the link.

UP Baguio with Love {This film was elaborated in my previous page}

This late 70 film has been a craving for everyone. At last, now it's out online.  It's a very circumstantial movie. Di mo alam kun saan ba talaga considering the previousness of Joey and the way Ana wants to be portrayed by her family and friends.  Di naman tragedy but it ends sad but the script says "hanggang doon lang" yet it seems that there may be some light at the end of the tunnel. Kasi minsan ka lang makakita ng iba so minsan mahirap din mag bukas ang sarili sa kay sino man.  A UP Baguio setting of their meeting, peripheral parts of Baguio and Sagada where the other scenes took place.  Sarap ang buhay as shown in such a clean and peaceful environment. Late 2023- Since Post Pandemic (?), I haven't seen a thorough  UP Diliman  driving  campus tour in a  video.

Some may not wear the UP Tshirt while still an undergrad because of one thing- afraid of being dropped out. When I did my academic and research studies for the first time in the U.S.A., I brought two shirts and gave it as gifts to new  Pnoy friends living in the US. But there are these universities in Los Angeles that are always at the top... and where I was niched for some time. In the process, one learns from them and the experiences have momentous transformations (new knowledge, new research expertise, new outputs, new scientific connections and affiliations,  etc.).  They comprise the  additional "sprawling/bursting Coronas or Canopies" and the constituent  "Branches",  "Fruits",  "Stems",  "Leaves"  and especially  the "Roots" are represented by the University of the Philippines. [Being the Roots, etc.] So I believe it is now with pride that one wears them once one would like to go abroad especially in certain academic  activities or in the academic playground where they were once.  I prefer these and/or a windbreaker hoodie. [Challenging the Pali Look Out (in Oahu). i had a photo I think in Page 1 but at that time the wind was so strong for this age {at present} to resist it}]

A Suggestion-

Some amusing actions during the course of the games must be not used in the classroom setting at UP or outside of UP, it might not  be a welcomed one. But one could try to use it for a prerog slot. But one has to purchase a souvenir attire to assume a quite similar look (e.g. at ntgbup).  Like for instance  the "hype up" of Tatak UP C J Cansino here.  I think your Sirs or your Ma'ams may like it.

Wiling your time (for instance: during the night in your bed or during the time you are out of work or just doing nothing for a trite thing to do) with AI

Here are the weak points:

AI shows the answers but usually the first two or three common answers that are usually comparable to a memory of a toddler. In spite that it shows  or cites the references below. In other words, it does not thoroughly pick up what is in the references it cites.

When you say you dislike the answer because it is incomplete, sometimes it repeats the same answer until you inform it that the answer is in the references that AI cite. It will scan- read it and give the answer, but sometimes it is still lacking. If you ask the same question/some other time... It will provide the same incomplete answer or by chance, the answer is now complete. Gauge it to a "becoming of senescent age". 

Once one erased the memory/history, there goes the data and begins the "toddler type" of learning.

What are the strong points?  Hints probably. Hope it will give /render a much better role or service in the future.  Books and librarians are still very important in their exact roles of providing answers. It's  a one time thing.  References in the library, Book of abstracts and so on. Or do a search engine search... what a double search use!

Flashback: I was a University Research Assistant for a number of years and with the last position of a University Research Associate at the Natural Science Research Institute [NSRI] (at present the Miranda Hall), University of the Philppines Diliman, Q.C., Philippines.  Memories recall.

AI's pakipot effect-  AI can answer humorous question... for instance sino mas cute si Scientist nga ini o si UP MBT nga ini... but when you dig deeper to something private-- I don't think AI has an idea, my makita ka sa screen "Let's start over". Ang hirap ligawan  o maghanap tsismis sa iban... I think AI has been trained in a "good manners school".

Regarding Katipunan, I was never happy with the UP Katipunan route but that was the only route [as far as I know] to get out of the UP Diliman campus if the Ikot Philcoa and buses were not available, especially in the late hours. You ended passing the road which was not so "concrete", viewing the  Balara and the  various stores and residences (like in a typical street),  ending in a vacant parking lot where one had to alight. Then took a bus in front of a craggy hillside where it sheltered the abrupt turn of the hi- way.  That was before.

11/29/2023- Exciting UP Men's Basketball Games!! Let us all CHEER [louder and louder] for the  UP MBT!!  Be an AUDIENCE.  Feel the U.P. SPIRIT!! 

Congratulations for winning this game! Here is the link.  Need for more vigorous cheers especially the UP alumni abroad [with attention to UPM alumni], like in  the US. The only requirement is to prove that you are a UP alumni. And cheers for the UP MBT!  I know work takes 8 to 16 hours of your time. But you can do it post work. Display the UP "threads"[flaglets, etc.] (you may opt not to show your faces) and your cheers and shout in suitable places. You may network or have a face to face suite with close and trusted friends.  Everyone, especially alumni or not continue your resounding cheers for our basketball players!
