Following the establishment of the Global Framework for Climate Services in 2009, countries and regions are encouraged and supported by partners including the international development cooperation for its implementation.

Following the establishment of the Global Framework for Climate Services in 2009, countries and regions are encouraged and supported by partners including the international development cooperation for its implementation.
In addition to efforts to detect and combat global climate change, regional and countries are experiencing specific and focused climate trends and impacts. Combating climate change at regional and national level sis needed based on climate services at these scales.
This side event will facilitate exchanges on the regional and national climate trends and impacts, the implementation of national framework for climate services in Cote d’ivoire as a case study, available geospatial tools to combat climate change and climate services for building resilience to high impacts events across Africa.

Business Ambition for 1.5 °C: Our Only Future is a communications and advocacy campaign calling for businesses to step up and do their part in limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C tin response to the global climate crisis, The call-to-action was announced by more than 25 business, civil society and UN leaders in June 2019, and it calls on companies to commit to setting verifiable science-based targets at 1.5°C and achieve net-zero emissions economy by 2050.
