The nonprofit organization, Cooler Crops, and this website were created for the Nextech Hawaii Fishtank Sustainability Design Challenge 2025, with the theme “Food Security.” This competition is for Hawaiʻi Island youth, inspired by the popular TV show “Shark Tank.” It’s a yearly competition for students in grades 5-8, who get to dive into real-world problem-solving by designing cool, creative solutions to some of the island’s biggest challenges!

The creators of Cooler Crops are Luka, Addyson, and Stella, with support from the Team Coordinator Kristen.
