What is differentiation? 

Differentiation is responsive instruction by making changes in four components: process, products, content or conditions of learning to match student learning preferences.  Students with learning disabilities benefit from assessment and instruction that are differentiated considering their strengths, varying levels of background knowledge, language ability, interests, learning styles, and readiness to learn.
