Inclusive Language in the classroom is one of the first steps a teacher can take towards ensuring that their classroom is an inclusive environment to be in. As educators, it is incredibly important to use the language and words we are using in the classroom. It is important to be aware of exclusionary language and terminology we can use to ensure that members of Indigenous communities, those with disabilities or even the LGBTQIA2S+ communities feel validated and seen within our classrooms.
