We are a "For the Community, By the Community" Event
Showcasing Wilmington area organizations, an Interactive "We the People" Freedom Wall and the Constitution Quilt Project
Constitution Day Wilmington is a non-political, non-partisan, community event organized by a small grassroots group of everyday local citizens. Its mission is to instill an awareness of the US Constitution and celebrate the freedoms that our forefathers protected in this founding document.
Constitution Day Wilmington is a local celebration in partnership with area organizations, schools and governing bodies with the intention to educate and engage the community through interactive and entertaining activities.
The event was also established to help our schools satisfy the 2004 Federal Law that designated Constitution/Citizenship Day as a Federal holiday with statutory educational requirements for Federally funded schools.
