Connor's Quilts: Supporting the fundraising activities for the South Hamilton Area Pool and Exercise

This year I have chosen to assist in fundraising for the building of a new swimming pool in Jewell, Iowa.  This swimming pool was built in 1964 and is nearing the end of its useful life and has been reported to be leaking.

The S.H.A.P.E. committee worked with a commercial swimming pool company to create a plan and presented recommendations to the Jewell City Council in 2023.  They continue to work on fundraising through a number of fundraising events. donations from local businesses, donations from individuals and preparing grant requests.

An anonymous donor has pledged to mach every dollar up to $300,000.  I am hoping to provide some fundraising through quilt sales in September 2026 and get some matching dollars!
