Tips
How should I choose cards?
While it would be nice to allow people to make whatever cards or designs they would like, this is difficult when you're trying to create a large quantity of high-quality cards. If you don't want to use the pre-existing ideas, Pinterest always has some great cards!
What makes a good card?
There are many things that go into creating a good card, but here are a couple of things that I've found that really help! The first is layers. Giving a card layers adds depth and makes a card more interesting! Texture helps to do the same thing! I recommend using an embossing machine to give your cards more texture. Embellishments add on to and make a card more exciting and fun to make and receive! Although all of those are very important, the most important thing that can make or break a card is the quality of the cardstock. Without thick cardstock, it's very difficult to make high-quality cards.
How do I run retirement home workshops?
Sometimes it can be very difficult for seniors to use small embellishments, so it's a good idea to put those embellishments on in advance. An example of this is under the sample card tab, you can see pearls on the Christmas Joy card. Both teens at the high school workshops and residents at retirement home workshops had difficulty gluing these on.
