Galați is about 250km northeast of Bucharest, near the border with Moldova and Ukraine. A port on the Danube, it is close to the Danube Delta.

• Plane: closest main airport is Bucharest - Henri Coandă (Otopeni). 

There are several companies that arrange direct transfer between Otopeni airport and Galați; one can try Transfero or Galtour.
