What a frustrating week! Almost immediately after getting my piezo buzzer, my fears came true. Something happened and it was no longer working to its full potential. It was super quiet, which made any experimenting quite difficult. Then my "priority next day shipping" order did not ship until the day after the next day and it took three days to arrive. So my Sunday evening order did not get into my hands until Friday morning! Very frustrating! I did use my time wisely and found things to do while I waited. Mostly, I worked with the piezo buzzer; it was just quiet. I also painted on my canvas, one design more for proximity sensing, another more for capacitive touch.
When I finally got the new one, I spent hours playing around with it. I had some fun!
I complied some videos I made documenting my learning into one video:
0:00-0:30 Very Sensitive Capacitive Sensor
0:31-1:57 Learning About Capacitive Touching
1:58-5:18 I created my own Pac Man melody. I used code that was half provided and then I worked to create the notes myself.
5:19 - end I created a "piano" with four keys. This was just copying code over.
Not shown on the video, but I also created the code for a scale, and I know how to adjust these for different tones/tunes.
Now I'm stuck.
I have a capacitive touch Arduino code that plays a different tone for each different "keys" that you touch.
I have a few different piezo buzzer melody codes that play a melody without capacitive touch.
I am trying to combine those. So the capacitive touch causes the piezo buzzer to play melodies instead of tones.
