BCEENET is committed to fostering a community where all individuals, whatever their sex, race, ethnicity, national origin, disability, religion, age, gender, sexuality, or other protected class, feel valued and respected. We are committed to a nondiscriminatory approach and provide equal opportunity for engagement in all community activities and access to all community resources. Our community supports and promotes respectful communication and cooperation between all BCEENET members. We respect and value diverse life experiences and heritages and strive to ensure that all voices are valued and heard in a safe, productive, and welcoming environment.
The BCEENET Student Conference Cohort Program promotes both professional development and personal growth. Therefore, any harassment, microaggression, intimidation, and/or insinuative behavior will not be tolerated.
The Student Conference Cohort Program upholds an illegal drug, smoke & alcohol-free atmosphere for all BCEENET events, activities, and programming, in both in-person and virtual settings.
However, we are aware that some conferences will have events with alcohol. We highly suggest cohort members refrain from consuming alcohol to maintain an inclusive environment. If you are of legal drinking age and are invited to drink with a potential mentor or advisor, we strongly encourage you to limit your consumption as you are in a professional setting.
As part of the BCEENET Student Conference Cohort Program, participants are asked to respect the following guidelines while participating in the conference, including video conferencing, live chat, live stream, email, social media, and any other in-person, or group communications:
