Have successfully completed a BCEENET CURE that is part of the Conference Cohort Assessment Program in the 18 months prior to the conference date. If you are unsure if you are included in this group, please ask your BCEENET CURE instructor.
Not be enrolled in a post-baccalaureate or graduate program at the time of the conference you are applying for (you may be accepted into a program, but it cannot have started).
You may be enrolled in a dual undergraduate and graduate program at your institution, but you must not have already received your undergraduate degree. If you have questions about this, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Conference Cohort Team at bceenet.cohorts@gmail.com.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a form of identification as necessary for travel to the conference (you may be flying to the location of the conference).
You agree to abide by the BCEENET Student Conference Cohort Code of Conduct and the Code of Conduct for the conference for which you are applying.
This is a fully funded experience. All travel, lodging, and meals will be paid for by BCEENET. BCEENET will arrange and pay for travel accommodations (flights, shuttles, and hotel). You will also receive a $350 stipend prior to the conference that you will be able to use for meals while traveling or other conference attendance needs. Any souvenirs, or extracurricular purchases may come out of your stipend or from your own pocket.
This opportunity is specifically to present your BCEENET research. To participate in the program you must be presenting a BCEENET project at the conference you plan to attend. If you worked in a group and you and a group member(s) are accepted to the program, you are able to present as a group at the conference.
Yes. If you worked as group on your project, and you and your team members are accepted to the same conference cohort, you are welcome to present as a group. Just keep in mind everyone will need to submit their own application (but you can use the same project abstract!).
Yes! You will work with either your course instructor or another BCEENET mentor to prepare your poster and will be given additional guidelines for creating your poster during the conference training. You will also be able to practice your poster presentation with the cohort and will receive feedback from the BCEENET Conference Cohort Team.

We will have a mixture of live and asynchronous virtual training sessions. Completion of this training is mandatory for all participants. However, we will work with you to accommodate conflicts such as work schedules. Training will consist of the following:
Three 1-1.5 hour synchronous (live) Zoom trainings
Three asynchronous (recorded) trainings which will be completed prior to each synchronous session
No, the conference cohort team will walk you through registration and abstract submission to the conference. If you are accepted into a conference cohort, you will receive support on writing and submitting your abstract. All abstracts will be reviewed by the BCEENET Conference Cohort Team before submission on the conference website.
No, the abstract submission deadlines are determined by the conference organizers and BCEENET has no ability to change the deadlines. Unfortunately, you will not be able to participate in your selected conference cohort. Please contact the BCEENET Conference Cohort Team immediately at bceenet.cohorts@gmail.com if this occurs.
