Main presenters must be members of SIETAR Japan.
Proposals must be submitted using the following Google Form link: https://forms.gle/M4jMsAXBeQD9GqTm8
You will be asked to fill in the following information.
1. The name of the first presenter (for group presentations, list the names of all the presenters)
2. Affiliation (for group presentations, list the affiliations of all the presenters)
3. Contact telephone number for the first presenter, and e-mail addresses for all presenters
4. Your 8-digit membership number is indicated on the address label on envelopes from SIETAR Japan. If you cannot locate your membership number, please contact
office@sietar-japan.org
5. Title of presentation (15-word limit). The title should be in the language of the presentation. Please note that the title cannot be changed after submission.
6. Languages to be used: English, Japanese, or both.
7. Description/abstract (English: 300 words, Japanese: 900 characters). Your proposal cannot be changed after submission. For workshops, please write the maximum number of people who can participate.
8. Types of presentations
a. Research Presentation (30 minutes)
The review will be based on whether the topic is suitable for our conference and whether it includes the objectives, previous research, methodology, and conclusions. The research should be completed at the time of submission, and the conclusions should be provided. If data collection and analysis are yet to be conducted, please submit your study in the poster session. In the case of theoretical/conceptual/model studies, please explain the objectives, previous research, and the theories/concepts/models used, and ensure that the conclusions (e.g., examination results, modeling, conceptualization, validity, etc.) are described.
b. Reports on Practices & Activities (30 minutes)
The review will be based on whether practices and/or pedagogical activities related to intercultural communication (e.g., teaching methods or training implemented in schools or workplaces, collaborative investigations, or joint projects with students and/or local communities) are reported. The activities should have already been conducted and a summary of the outcomes should be provided at the time of submission. If the activities have not yet been implemented or if the outcome summary is not available yet, please submit them in the poster session.
c. Workshop （110 minutes）
Submissions are reviewed based on whether the workshop provides experiential learning for acquiring problem-solving and/or other intercultural skills.
d. Poster Presentation (Academic Research or Report on Practice & Activities; non-members eligible if recommended by a SIETAR member) Guidelines are available on the submissions Google Form.
The abstract should be written according to the guidelines for either research presentations or reports on practices & activities. It is acceptable to present ongoing research or planned practical activities, but for research presentations, it is necessary to describe the purpose, data collection methods, analytical approach, and expected results. The sections other than the conclusion should be included in theoretical/conceptual/model studies as well. In the case of practical reports, please explain the purpose, implementation methods, and the expected results or effects. On the day of the presentation, it is essential to present the conclusion, results, or summary.
*Please note:
(1) In addition to content, proposals will be evaluated in terms of grammar, spelling, clarity and logic.
(2) Each presenter can present as first presenter only once during the conference.
(3) We may ask you to change the type of your presentation (for example, from research presentation to report on practice and activities) as a result of the review.
(4) The Conference Program Committee may ask you to rewrite or modify the proposal if deemed necessary.
(5) We will not provide reasons for acceptance or rejection of your submission.

Requirements: All presenters are expected to pay the full conference fee of ¥5000 by Oct 13.
First presenters MUST be members of SIETAR Japan or another SIETAR organization.
Membership: For presenters who reside in Japan: You must apply for membership of SIETAR Japan before June 30 (Friday), and the deadline for your membership payment is July 18 (Sunday) to ensure that your membership information has been processed and that you have a membership number (required for submission). If you are not a SIETAR Japan (SJ) member belong to another SIETAR organization, we welcome you to participate in our conference on the same basis as SJ members. Please enter the name of your SIETAR organization and your membership number in the appropriate section when submitting.

After submitting your proposal via the conference website, you will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt. 7. 発表の内容要旨（英語の場合は300語以内、日本語の場合は900字以内。いったん提出されたプロポーザルは提出後、審査期間中は一切変更できません。
8． 発表形式と審査基準
a. 研究発表（30分） 当学会の研究内容にふさわしいテーマであり、目的、先行研究、方法、結論が記述されていること。発表申し込み時点で未完了ではなく、結論が出ていること。データ収集や分析をこれから行う研究については、ポスターセッションでご発表ください。なお、理論／概念／モデル等の研究の場合は、その目的、先行研究、用いる理論／概念／モデルを説明した上で、結論（例：検討結果・モデル化・概念化・有効性など）が記述されていること。
b. 実践報告（30分） 異文化コミュニケーション活動に関する実践例（例：学校や職場で実践した教授法・トレーニング等、学生・地域の人々との共同調査・共同プロジェクト等)が報告されること。発表申し込み時点で未実施ではなく、実施済みであり、その総括が述べられていること。実践がまだの場合や実施したけれど総括がまだの場合は、ポスターセッションでご発表ください。
c. ワークショップ（110分） 問題解決、スキル習得などに役立つもので、参加者が体験を通して学ぶことができる内容であること。
d. ポスターセッション（研究発表／実践報告） 非会員であっても、本学会の会員の推薦があった場合には発表できます。ガイドラインは申し込み用のGoogleフォームにあります。
研究発表か実践報告のうち、該当する方の抄録の書き方に準じて記述されていること。くわしい書き方はa. 研究発表とb. 実践報告の欄を参照。なお、現在取り組み中の研究や実施前の実践を発表することも認めるが、研究発表の場合は何を目的として、どのような方法でデータを収集し、どのような分析をすることでいかなる結果を得ることを期待しているかを記述すること。理論／概念／モデル等の研究の場合も、結論以外の部分が記述されていること。実践報告の場合は、何を目的として、どのような方法で実施をし、いかなる結果や効果を得ることを期待しているかを説明すること。発表当日には必ず結論・結果あるいは総括までを述べてください。
ポスターセッション（研究発表、あるいは実践報告；非会員であっても、本学会の会員の推薦があった場合には発表できます）ガイドラインは申し込み用のGoogleフォームにあります。
＊なお、以上のa.～d.のすべてにおいて、誤字脱字、文章の明瞭性や論理性なども審査の対象になります。
注意：（１）第1発表者としての発表はa.～d.のうち1回のみです。（２）審査の結果により、発表形式の変更（例えば、「研究発表」を「実践報告」や「ポスター・プレゼンテーション」へ変更）や加筆・修正を前提に採用とすることがあります。なお、採用・不採用の理由については、いっさい開示できませんので、ご了承の上、お申し込みください。審査結果は、9月30日（土）までにお知らせします。

＊以上の発表応募資格は、発表者（共同発表の場合は代表者）が当学会会員または他地域のSIETAR 組織の会員であることです。また、発表代表者、共同発表者ともに10月13日（金）までに大会参加費をお支払いいただきます。
＊発表希望の方で学会(異文化コミュニケーション学会)へ新規入会される方の申し込み期限は6月18日（日）、また、新規入会も含め、全発表者の年会費納入期限は6月30日（金）です。
