Blog Reflection 10/10/17: I've been arranging Closing into a "mixed bag" arrangement for the classroom which has helped me get a greater understanding of how the piece is structured to create some scaffolding around a composition model. Firstly, I have transposed the piece from F minor into A minor to help create a more Orff friendly arrangement later.

With my arrangement I am working with Sibelius to create:

1. Melody line 1 for the top part of the ostinato – general C instrument and other transposing instruments
2. Melody line 2 for the bottom line of the ostinato – general C instrument and other transposing instruments
3. Harmony part (again for C and transposing instruments)
4. 2 different base line options to cater for different instrument functions (perhaps hopeful considering how many base options there might be)
5. Orf percussion including xylophone, marimba and glockenspiel parts
6. Percussion line
7. Piano line to fill most of the harmony and ostinato
8. Additional vocal lines for vocalists to participate instead of just playing other Orff instruments
9. Synthesise line as an easy part to contribute a stylistic drone
10. Guitar chords
