Blog Reflection 9/10: Two big decision - 1. How can I chunk information into clear scaffolded compositional steps for students and 2. How can I best display this? In one of my technology lectures we investigated a number of different platforms that could be useful in providing digital resources to students such as ibooks etc. As you can see from my review, the main issue is that there is not one size fits all, or all platforms, or offline and online. I initially was going to use Book Creator for this project, it seemed to be the best option that worked across both iOS and Windows, however when you exported from windows the epub view took away the interactivity, which left it pretty useless for playing any video or audio. Mac it worked fine through ibooks, but then you might as well use ibooks. I've therefore gone to old technology, namely PowerPoint - but don't panic...there is still lots you can do with it and I will try not to produce a "death by PowerPoint"!
