This website consists of the parts of speech that occur in Japanese.  This source contents multiple parts of speech and examples of them used in Japanese. This website could be used as a resource when students are analyzing and trying to understand the sentence structure in Japanese compliments. Students can use this source to find the different parts of speech used in Japanese compliments and to notice patterns in compliments. 

This website shows parts of speech in Korean and how they occur in sentences. This website, also, shows tree structures of how sentences are made and where the parts of speech is located. If your students' first language is English, this source shows how sentence structures differ between the two languages.  This website shows simple sentences and the sentences get more complex as you go farther down the cite. Students can use this source to notice patterns in sentence structure and as a guide to find the parts of speech and discover sentence structures of compliments.

Students can look at the colors and notice patterns in English compliments. They can also learn how sentence structures in compliments differ and are similar to other speech acts.
