Practices
Practices will be held M-F after school with additional Saturday morning practices for more experienced athletes.
Until we have snow, practices are from 3:30-5:15 with pickup at Como High School, and will consist of dryland training (running, pole-hiking, bounding, strength-training, etc.). Once we have snow, practices are from 3:30-5:30 with pickup at Como High School.Â
Saturday morning practices (mandatory for Varsity athletes, optional but highly encouraged for all other athletes) are held from 9-11am at Battle Creek Regional Park West (by Battle Creek Recreation Center, 75 Winthrop St, St. Paul) as soon as they have snow. Ramsey County requires its own ski pass for skiing at all of its parks, including Como and Battle Creek. All Como athletes will be issued a ski pass for the season. It's really important for athletes to get experience on actual snow as soon and as much as possible. So if snow is delayed, it's especially important that Varsity athletes participate in Saturday practices at Battle Creek. We will do our best to arrange carpools. Families are encouraged to come along and ski, as well! Note that family passes are available at a discount.

You can find results from high school races on the skinnyski website, usually within a few hours of the race.

Race Venues
Hyland Lake Park Reserve. Continue on past the main visitor center and try to park at "Jan's Place" if there is space. The race start/finish is up the hill to the north (there is paved path).
Theodore Wirth. The race start/finish is at the stadium area by the Trailhead. If there is no parking across the street from the Trailhead, continue north on on Theodore Wirth Parkway to the overflow parking.
Battle Creek Regional Park West. The race start/finish is at the Battle Creek Recreation Center off of Winthrop St.
Elm Creek Park Reserve. Park at the main parking lot, near the Winter Recreation Area. The race start/finish are just to the south along the trail (in the teaching area, if you're familiar with the ski trails)
