Every year, during winter break, Como Nordic travels to find snow for a 3-day training camp. This year we are headed back to the upper peninsula of Michigan to ski at ABR Ski Center in Ironwood, Michigan. We will stay overnight at Powderhound Lodge in Bessemer, Michigan, about a 15 minute drive from the ski center.
Holiday Camp for 2025 will be Dec 27-29, 2025

This is not an SPPS-sanctioned event. It is being organized by parent volunteers.
Ski camp is for you if you are ready to ski 6-7 hours/day for 2 1/2 days no matter what the conditions are like. We have one ski session on our arrival day, two sessions on the middle day, and one to two sessions on our departure day. It's a great opportunity to get a lot of practice, improve your skills and fitness, and have a great time bonding with other athletes.
To keep ski camp affordable, we are exploring carpool and van rental options. The price of ski camp will depend on the total number of participants (athletes & adults) and the transportation situation, but the total cost estimate is currently somewhere between $175-225, which includes lodging and food for 3 days/2 nights, transportation, and ski passes.
