In the site are a few information sources - a Fact Sheet with information about various topics, a sample letter which should be send to the Town of Fort Erie as soon as possible, and some sources from Liz Benneian including Organizing to Win, North Oakville Map and Regional Natural Heritage System in Oakville. To carefully consider and investigate important issues that arise in our community which may negatively
impact its sustainability, uniqueness and well-being.
Goals
1. To work with our elected officials to ensure our concerns are being addressed.
ACTION: To create a working committee and various sub-committees as issues arise.
2. To investigate healthy, sustainable growth and other initiatives.
3. To maintain communication within the community.
Community Voices of Fort Erie is a citizen's group involved in upholding the community values of Fort Erie, Ridgeway, Crystal Beach, Stevensville, Black Creek, and Douglastown.
The current focus of Community Voices of Fort Erie is on the proposed development of Waverly Woods & Erie Beach. As a group of concerned citizens, we feel it is incredibly important to protect our critical natural and historical resources for the benefit of current and future residents. The maintenance of these resources will ensure that Fort Erie thrives as a place to live, and as a unique destination for visitors to the Niagara Region.
As an organization, we look to work with our elected officials to ensure our important concerns are being addressed. Community Voices of Fort Erie actively investigates new initiatives for healthy and sustainable growth in our area, rather than supporting developments which may negatively impact it's sustainability, uniqueness, and the well-being of residents.

An Important Anniversary
On March 19, 2019, it will be one year since the Town of Fort Erie passed the bylaws allowing the Harbourtown Village development to proceed at Waverly Woods/Erie Beach. An appeal was submitted to the Ontario Municipal Board (now the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal) shortly thereafter by Community Voices of Fort Erie Inc., in order to address our concerns regarding the effects this development would have on both the environmental and historical significance of the property. Things are moving along with our OMB/LPAT appeal. We have retained an environmental lawyer, as well as a number of experts, but we will need your help to make this happen. Although any contribution will be most welcome, please consider one of the following suggested categories. Each level will receive a certificate of appreciation, along with a commemorative photo.
