A DAY OF BLACK LOVE: A CALL TO PRACTICE

As the emergence of uncertainty rises with COVID - 19, we have made a decision to ReImagine Black Love Convergence as “A Day of Black Love: A Call to Practice”, June 19, 2020. We invite people of the Black Diaspora to use the strategies, tools, and wisdom learned through Black Love Convergence to gather (with others or solo), and FALL DEEPER IN LOVE WITH BLACKNESS!

Who is invited: people of the Black Diaspora and their beloved community. We invite folks to continue to see this as a space of collective practice and invite your friends, loved ones, co-workers, and community to join you in practice, virtually or otherwise. We know some of us will be solo gatherers, while others will be gathering with the people who live in their homes, while others may decide to gather with a close network of people. We encourage you to be with your holistic needs, the unknown, and the safety of others when making choices around gathering live.

Our Intention: To create a cauldron where we generate Black Love as an act of political resistance. Our practices center unlearning anti-Blackness, healing, wellness, and honoring Black Life. Our work is done in relationship to ourselves, the earth, the divine, our ancestors and each other. We know through practice we can create new systems and ways of being which support our collective freedom.
