How do I sign up?

Simple: You just fill out the form here, and we'll be in touch shortly to provide next steps and let you know what to expect. 

Why am I required to provide personal information?

We strive to create a system for all users to feel safe with each other, so we're vetting high-level info like Name and Phone/Email to ensure we're avoiding scammers, frauds or other dishonest users. 

If you're not comfortable providing certain information, we can understand and will work with you directly to help vet you as a user any other way that we can. As you fill out the form, feel free to leave out your last name or give a fake email, etc. if you feel better doing so! 

Who am I being matched with?

You'll be matched to another user based primarily on your responses that you gave in the survey form (linked above and on our homepage). 

We're using your goals, interests and meetup location to provide the most suitable match for a conversation partner. 

Where can I expect to meet up with my match?

We're in the process of partnering with small businesses in the Greater Philadelphia area (PA only) to speed up the process of meeting other users near you. Most commonly, you can expect to be directed to your local coffee shop or cafe, but we're hoping to expand to other types of businesses down the road. 

At this time, we are not offering services in Philadelphia County, but we have plans to open up there in the future. For now, we're solely operating in Bucks, Chester, Delaware & Montgomery counties. 

Will I be safe participating in this?

Yes! We mentioned some of this above in the "personal information" FAQ, but we're taking a number of steps to ensure all users signing up for Community Cup are being vetted and validated. 

We start by asking Name & Phone/Email, but we're also taking additional steps afterward by contacting each users directly to discuss reasons for signing up, whether they're comfortable sharing their Facebook profile or joining our group/page, and more. 

We're also offering a service where one of our "community monitors" can show up to the location to greet both matched users, give introductions, and make sure everyone is comfortable before heading to a different part of the location to hang out. We include this option in our welcome email when you first complete the form! 

What type of rewards are offered for meeting with my match?

As of today, we're offering discounts at designated partner locations (local small businesses in Greater Philadelphia), as well as a limited number of gift cards. 

Additionally, we're working out the logistics and details for expanding our options to allow users to be able to choose how they'd like to be rewarded. More points will be given for more match meetings, which will mean greater rewards
