High School Anxiety & Stress Support Group

Anxiety can be described as a sense of uneasiness, nervousness, worry, fear, or dread of what's about to happen or what might happen. While stress is what you feel when you are worried or uncomfortable about something. This worry in your mind can make your body feel bad. You may feel angry, frustrated, scared, or afraid — which can give you a stomachache or a headache. Did this describe some of your experiences? Join us!

Orientations held weekly
Groups for teens & adults
Adult groups available in Spanish
Groups meet weekly in the evening
Teens & adults decide how long they wish to participate
Open to anyone who has lost a loved one as a result of illness, accident, suicide or homicide
Parents will be provided at-home activities for young children
UHD Solidarity Circles (@UHDSolidarityCircles on Instagram) is providing UHD students and Houstonians online outlets to discuss their concerns and explore creative methods of coping with COVID-19.

Parents of Murdered Children is a national organization that has a chapter in Houston.

JFS Houston is offering FREE group sessions via ZOOM Conference. These groups are designed help participants to get through this stressful time amidst the Covid-19 epidemic.
