For customers with an immediate critical need due to an accident or OSHA citation or companies with less complex guarding requirements, we offer Remote Safeguarding Assessments that are an economical alternative to onsite assessment and offer the same comprehensive compliance reporting.
The Remote Assessment service is available by appointment for customers with a limited number of basic cutting and turning machines, including drill presses, vertical mills, grinders, small lathes, saws, sanders, riveters and most non process equipment.
A machine safeguarding specialist will work with customers to provide safeguarding recommendations using the same trusted methodology that we use in onsite assessments, in this case, the assessment is conducted using an audio or video conference that helps save the customer time and money by eliminating costly travel expenses (travel time, air fare, hotel, rental car, meals).
4 EASY STEPS TO REMOTE ASSESSMENTS
a. Number and type of machine
b. How machines are currently safeguarded
» This information is needed to determine
the amount of time required for the remote
safeguarding assessment
» Upon receipt of the machine list, a Remote Safeguarding Assessment proposal will be provided for your approval
» Our trained safeguarding specialist will work with you to schedule the remote assessment
» Appointments are available from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday-Friday
» Appointments can be set up for an audio or video conference
» The quality of the remote assessment will be dramatically improved by reviewing not only the machines, but also how operators use the machines and how those machines fit into the broader production process
» Shortly after the Remote Assessment, we will provide a comprehensive Safeguarding Report and Proposal that outlines the findings and provides recommendations to improve OSHA, ANSI and NFPA compliance, if applicable.
