David Bierman was president of Colt Equipment Inc for 40 years. David was a machine tool builder, machinery distributor, custom machine designer, component manufacturer, safety products distributor, machine safeguarding, and machine safety specialist with experience in a wide range of industries ranging from candy making to products for aerospace.
David has been involved in most phases of machine safety, machine building, manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, statistical process control, machinery set up, & machinery safeguarding for a wide variety of industries. These include: manufacturing system design build, system manufacturing, systems installation, machinery safeguarding, designing specific safeguards, inspections for compliance, assessments, pre and post OSHA compliance assistance, LOTO system review, and Best Safety Practices. He has provided services and consulted for many companies including OSHA VPP and many Fortune 500 companies.
Additionally, David has been retained by: OSHA, Missouri Department of Labor, National Safety Council, American Society of Safety Engineers, Law Firms and numerous Loss Prevention Agencies.
David also performed professional services for companies that have had accident liabilities, law suits, incidents, OSHA citations in addition to testifying as an expert witness.
David has conducted machinery and machine safety classes, seminars and programs throughout Europe and North America for numerous Universities, organizations, OSHA, National Safety Council, ASSE, and various industrial manufacturers.
