Equipment Guidelines:

Primary Firearms & Duty Equipment

Primary Firearm:

• Standard patrol units are authorized to carry the Glock 17.
  
  

• The Shield 9 is not permitted.
  
  

Assault Rifle:

• The M4A1 may only be used as an assault rifle and must remain in the trunk of your vehicle.
  
  

• Certification is required to deploy the M4A1.
  
  

Required Duty Equipment:
As a Patrol Officer, you must always carry the following on your duty belt:

• Primary Firearm (Glock 17)
  
  

• Taser
  
  

• Pepper Spray (OC Spray)
  
  

• Baton
  
  

Failure to comply with these equipment requirements will result in disciplinary action.
