Increasing preventive cancer screening rates in Colorado
CCSP Received Colorado Partner of the Year Award from the American Cancer Society
July 2025: For its success in advancing cancer prevention and early detection efforts across the state, the University of Colorado Cancer Center’s Colorado Cancer Screening Program (CCSP) has been named the American Cancer Society (ACS) 2024 Colorado State Partner of the Year.
CCSP and the Katy O. and Paul M. Rady Esophageal and Gastric Center of Excellence Honored at the Colorado State Capitol
In March, the Colorado State Senate recognized efforts across Colorado to boost colorectal cancer screening and expand cancer prevention. They highlighted work by the University of Colorado Cancer Center, CCSP, and the Rady Esophageal and Gastric Center of Excellence, celebrating a growing partnership to increase awareness, screening, and care for GI cancers statewide.

The City of Denver Recognizes March as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month
The National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable has awarded the 2022 80% In Every Community National Achievement Award grand prize to CCSP's partner clinic, Pueblo Community Health Center in Pueblo Colorado.
“The improved colorectal screening rates PCHC achieved were due to teamwork and our dedication to making sure our patients are well-served. The fact that we overcame barriers unique to the pandemic is a testament to the staff’s loyalty to our mission – to provide quality primary care to those in need,” said Donald Moore, PCHC CEO.
