Currently, no vaccines are required to gain entry to Colombia.

Although Bogota is close to the Equator, it is at an altitude of 2.600 meters (8.500ft), which means that the climate here is generally cool, with the rainy season occurring during the summer months. Temperatures range between 8 and 20 degrees Celsius (46.4 to 68.0 °F). The highest temperature on a typical day, when it is sunny, will be 22-23°C (72-73°F), while a typical low temperature, when it is rainy and cloudy, or during the small hours of the night, will be between 5-10°C (42-50°F). Therefore, make sure to pack appropriate clothing.

Safety Tips
Taxis
Use hotel taxis (white color) instead of UBER. Always call for a taxi or ask for your hotel concierge's assistance. Do not take taxis off the street. Taxis only accept cash.

Bogotá is famous for its quaint colonial Old Town, impressive art museums and exciting nightlife, as well as for its up-and-coming fashion and restaurant scene. That being said:
We encourage you to stay within the northern area of the city and to ask for references before going to places.

Money and other precautions
Do not carry a lot of cash and be mindful of your surroundings when withdrawing from ATMs. While ATMs give you the best exchange rate, debit and credit cards are also accepted in all major establishments.
Always keep your belongings with you and in your bag/purse when outside.
