『Off the Ground』は、韓国、台湾、タイ、アラブ首長国連邦、ドイツ、日本の6カ国7つのオルタナティブ・スペースが連携したビデオアートの巡回展示です。2022年からspacemium（蔚山、韓国）の呼びかけにより、各エリアにおけるオルタナティブ・スペースの存在意義、継続的な役割、場の特有性といった本質的なトピックについて議論や情報交換を重ねてきました。そのような中で、各スペースにゆかりのあるアーティストが制作したビデオ作品を共有するプロジェクトが始動しました。
また、恒例のイベントとなったこの度のラウンドテーブルは、Colloquiumから『Off the Ground』の制作のために招聘されたアーティスト達を迎え、即興的かつ有機的に作品制作の過程を体験する『Collopping #5』を開催します。
彼らはこのように宣言しております。
"Collopping "とは、"Colloquium "と "Clipping "を組み合わせた造語です。コロキウムの日々の活動では、アーティストや来場者との会話が交わされます。この「Off the Ground」プロジェクトの期間中、これらの会話をクリッピングし、世界中に配信する予定です。
"Off the Ground" is a traveling exhibition of video art that brings together seven alternative spaces in six countries (Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Germany, and Japan). Since 2022, at the initiative of spacemium (Ulsan, South Korea), we have been discussing and exchanging information on essential topics such as the significance of the existence of alternative spaces in each area, their continuing role, and the specificity of the site. In this context, a project was initiated to share video works produced by artists associated with each space.
In what has become a regular event at Colloquium, the Roundtable will also feature "Collopping #5," an improvisational and organic experience of thinking and creating a work featuring artists we invited to work on "Off the Ground."
They declare thus.
"Collopping" is a word coined by combining "Colloquium" and "Clipping". Colloquium's daily activities involve conversations with artists and visitors. During the course of this project "Off the Ground", we will be clipping these conversations and distributing them around the world.
